Step 1: Access Facebook Ads Manager
Navigate to business.facebook.com/adsmanager. Ensure you are logged in with an account that has access to the ad account containing your lead forms.
Step 2: Navigate to Forms Library
In the left sidebar menu, locate and click on "Forms Library" under the "All Tools" section. If you do not see this option immediately, click "All Tools" first, then find Forms Library in the expanded menu.
Step 3: Select Your Lead Form
The Forms Library displays a list of all lead forms you have created. Click on the specific lead form from which you want to export leads (e.g., "Business Funding Application," "Life Insurance Quote Request").
Step 4: Download Leads as CSV
Click the "Download" button in the top-right corner and select "Download as CSV". The file will download to your computer's default downloads folder with a name like FormName_Leads_YYYY-MM-DD.csv.
Step 1: Access the Lead Import Page
Navigate to yourdomain.com/admin/lead-import(replace "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain).
Step 2: Select Lead Type
Choose the lead type that matches your Facebook form:
Business loans, lines of credit, equipment financing
IUL, FIA, Final Expense, Term Life quotes
Business credit building services
$1 broker training program sign-ups
Step 3: Provide CSV Data
You have two options: (1) Upload the CSV file directly using the "Choose File" button, or (2) Open the CSV in a text editor, copy all content, and paste it into the text area.
Step 4: Execute Import
Click the "Import Leads" button. The system will process your leads within seconds and display a summary showing leads imported, skipped (duplicates), and any errors.
Your CSV should contain the following columns (only Email is required):
| Column Name | Description | Required |
|---|---|---|
Email | Lead's email address | |
First Name | Lead's first name | No |
Last Name | Lead's last name | No |
Phone | Lead's phone number | No |
Business Name | Name of lead's business | No |
Sample CSV:
Email,First Name,Last Name,Phone,Business Name [email protected],John,Doe,555-1234,Doe Enterprises [email protected],Jane,Smith,555-5678,Smith Consulting
Every imported lead starts with 15 points. Scores increase based on engagement activities:
Issue: "No leads imported, all skipped"
This occurs when re-importing a previously imported file. All email addresses already exist in your database. Verify you're importing a new export, not a duplicate file.
Issue: "CSV format not recognized"
Ensure your CSV includes at least an "Email" column header. Open the file in a text editor to verify proper formatting with commas separating fields.
Issue: "Import button is disabled"
Complete both required steps: (1) Select a lead type from the dropdown, and (2) Provide CSV data via upload or paste.
- Regular Import Schedule: Import daily for high-volume campaigns, weekly for lower-volume to ensure timely follow-up.
- Lead Type Accuracy: Always verify the correct lead type is selected to enroll leads in the appropriate nurture campaign.
- Post-Import Verification: Check the lead scoring dashboard after each import to verify leads appear correctly.
- File Organization: Store exports in a dedicated folder with dates in filenames (e.g., BusinessFunding_2026-02-20.csv).
